Data Privacy Statement
Dear Website Visitors,
We thank you for visiting our website at constructorknowledgelabs.com. To ensure that you feel safe and comfortable when browsing our website, we would like to inform you about how we handle your personal data. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, process, and disclose your information, including personal information, in conjunction with your access to and use of our website.
You can revoke your consent at any time by adjusting the setting of the cookie banner.

Data Controller
When this policy mentions “we,” “us,” or “our,” it refers to Constructor Knowledge Labs gGmbH, Campus Ring 1, 28759 Bremen, Germany, the company that is responsible for your information under this Privacy Policy (the “Data Controller”).

Storing of IP Addresses
Protecting your privacy is very important to us. We use information that we receive and store during your visit to our website exclusively for internal purposes and to improve the design of the website, including sub-pages. If necessary for the purpose of defending against attacks that impair the functionality of our website (hacker attacks, malware, denial of service attacks, spam), we may access your computer’s IP address for this purpose alone, which is stored by our telecommunications provider as a security measure for a period of seven days. After this period has elapsed, we will either delete or anonymize the IP address. The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.

  • Usage Information
When you visit our website, we temporarily store usage information on our web server for statistical purposes in the form of a log in order to improve the quality of our website. This data record consists of:
  • The page from which the file was requested
  • The name of the file
  • The date and time the file was accessed
  • The quantity of data transferred
  • The status of access (file transfered, file not found)
  • A description of the type of web browser used to access the file
  • The IP address of the computer accessing the file, shortened by the last three digits
We use this information to enable access to our website, to control and administer our systems, and to improve the design of our website. The data stored is stored in anonymized form. This means it is not possible to create personal user profiles based on this information. Data about individuals or their individual behavior is not collected.

Data Transfers to Third Parties
We do not transfer your personal data to third parties without your express consent.

Required cookies
On our websites, we use cookies that are required for the use of our websites.
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your terminal device and can be read. A distinction is made between session cookies, which are deleted as soon as you close your browser, and permanent cookies, which are stored beyond the individual session.
We do not use these necessary cookies for analysis, tracking or advertising purposes.
In some cases, these cookies only contain information about certain settings and are not personally identifiable. They may also be necessary to enable user guidance, security and implementation of the site.
We use these cookies on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DSGVO.
You can set your browser to inform you about the placement of cookies. This makes the use of cookies transparent for you. You can also delete cookies at any time via the appropriate browser setting and prevent the setting of new cookies. Please note that our websites may then not be displayed and some functions may no longer be technically available.

Google Analytics
In order to design our websites in line with requirements, we make use of the “Google Analytics” web analysis tool. Google Analytics creates user profiles based on pseudonyms. To this end, permanent cookies are stored on your device and read by us. This makes it possible for us to recognize and count returning visitors.
With regard to Google LLC, no adequate level of data protection can be assumed due to the processing in the USA. There is a risk that authorities may access the data for security and monitoring purposes without informing you before or having the right to appeal. Please note this if you decide to give your consent to Google Analytics.
If you have given your consent via our cookie banner, this data processing is done on the basis of your consent in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 (a) GDPR. The transfer to a third country is based on Art. 49 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR and the use of standard EU contractual clauses. As a result, Google may only use this information strictly for the purpose of analyzing the use of our website for us and compiling reports regarding this website activity.
You can revoke your consent at any time by adjusting the setting of the cookie banner.

Google Tag Manager, DoubleClick
Furthermore, we use Google Tag Manager on our website for personalized, interest-based, and location-based online advertising. Google Tag Manager allows us to target visitors to our website as part of marketing campaigns on our partners’ websites. When you visit our website, we access identifiers that allow us to recognize your browser or device, analyze your IP address, and/or store a unique identifier as a small text file (known as a third-party cookie) on your device. Your usage behavior is tracked when you visit various websites. The identifying attributes are pseudonymized. If you are logged in with your Google account, these attributes can be linked directly to your profile. Google may link and store your visits to our website with your personal attributes in order to display targeted advertising to you on other websites. This also allows Google to determine if you have previously visited our website. Your device and browser are recognized by Google, for example, when you visit a website that displays ads through Google’s advertising network. Such processing is carried out on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(A) of the GDPR. You can withdraw your consent to retargeting on our website, which you have given via our cookie banner, at any time. Users can deactivate DoubleClick remarketing pixels by calling up the deactivation page for DoubleClick (https://www.google.de/settings/ads/onweb#display_optout) or on this deactivation page (http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp).

Google Maps

This website uses Google Maps to provide you with an optimized representation of the access routes. These Google services are operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. By using Google services, information about your use (in particular the IP address of your computer) may be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. We have no influence on the further processing of data by Google Inc. The terms of use for Google Maps can be found at: http://www.google.com/intl/de_en/help/terms_maps.html. You can also find detailed information on Google’s privacy policy at: http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/. If you do not agree with the data processing by Google Inc., please deactivate the JavaScript function in your browser to obtain only a limited view.

Facebook Conversion Pixel

We use the “conversion pixel” or visitor action pixel of Facebook Inc, 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). By calling up this pixel from your browser, Facebook can subsequently recognize whether a Facebook advertisement was successful, e.g. led to a contract being concluded. For this purpose, we only receive statistical data from Facebook without reference to a specific person. This allows us to record the effectiveness of the Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes.
These processing operations are carried out exclusively upon the granting of express consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. a DSGVO, which you can give via the cookie banner when accessing the page and revoke at any time.
The transfer of data to the USA takes place on the basis of Art. 49 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO and the conclusion of EU standard contractual clauses.
In order to deactivate the use of cookies on your computer, you can set your internet browser so that no more cookies can be placed on your computer in the future or so that cookies that have already been placed are deleted. However, switching off all cookies may mean that some functions on our Internet pages can no longer be executed.
In particular, if you are logged into Facebook, we refer you to their privacy information https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/. Please click here if you wish to revoke your consent to Conversion Pixel: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads#_=_ . Alternatively, you can deactivate the Facebook Pixel on the page of the Digital Advertising Alliance under the following link: http://www.aboutads.info/choices/

Embedded YouTube videos

On some subpages we embed YouTube videos into our website. When these subpages are called up, YouTube content is downloaded. In this context, YouTube also receives your IP address, which is technically required to retrieve the content. We have no influence on the further processing by YouTube. However, when embedding the videos, we took care to activate the extended data protection mode offered by YouTube.

Mouseflow

This website uses Mouseflow, a web analysis tool of Mouseflow ApS, Flaesketorvet 68, 1711 Copenhagen, Denmark, to collect randomly selected individual visits (only with anonymous IP addresses). This results in a protocol of mouse movements, mouse clicks and keyboard interaction, with the intention of randomly reproducing individual visits to this website as so-called session replays and evaluating them in the form of so-called heat maps and deriving potential improvements for this website. The data collected by Mouseflow is not personal and will not be passed on to third parties. The data collected is stored and processed within the EU. If you do not wish Mouseflow to collect your data, you can object to this on all websites that use Mouseflow by clicking on the following link: https://mouseflow.de/opt-out/.

Unibuddy

On our websites we embed the Service “Unibuddy”, that is not running on our servers. Unibuddy is used to connect you and your questions with our students via an iFramed Chat on our website. In order to ensure that accessing our websites with embedded services does not automatically lead to third-party content being reloaded, in a first step we ask you in our cookie banner to allow this service.
Only after a click on “allow”, content from Unibuddy is reloaded. We have no control over further data processing by Unibuddy.
Embedding takes place on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) 1 GDPR.
